It’s Tax Time

The American embassy wishes to remind American citizens in Bulgaria that most federal taxes are due April 15. For more information on how to file and for forms and instructions, please visit the Internal Revenue Service site at www.irs.gov.
Please note that the United States and Bulgaria have signed an agreement on avoiding double taxation that came into effect in January 2009 – and thus will not affect taxes filed for 2008.
