Petition-based Nonimmigrant Visas (H, L, O, P and Q)
Please contact the Consular Section by phone, e-mail or fax as soon as you make your appointment.
To facilitate the application process we will need the following information:
- DHS Receipt number (Petition number)
- Petitioner
- Petition expiration date
- Beneficiary
- DoB of the Beneficiary
The listed information is required in advance before your interview in order to verify that your Petition appears in the Petition Information Management Service (PIMS) even if the beneficiary has an approved I-797 form already.
Petition-based visas cannot be authorized, unless the petition appears in PIMS. For this reason, failure to submit the above information prior to the interview for verification will delay visa issuance by as much as two weeks. Take this possibility into account when making your travel plans.
