Passport Renewal
U.S. citizens may apply at the Consular Section for a new passport if they meet the following conditions:

They can submit their most recent passport.

They were at least 16 years old when their most recent passport was issued.

Their most recent passport was issued no more than less 15 years ago.
-
They use the same name as on their most recent passport; or have had their name changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation to reflect the name change.
They must submit the following:

Their most recent passport

Two recent identical photographs (not older than six months)
Fees: 75 U.S. dollars (payable in dollars or Bulgarian leva, cash only).
The application may be submitted by a third party, as long as the application form has been filled out beforehand and the applicant has personally signed it.
