Digital Images Exhibition Opens at the American Corner in Sofia
For Immediate Release
June 16, 2008
Students from the Textile Department of the National Academy of Art will display a collection of digital images showing experimental textile and graphic design on paper and cloth at the American Corner in Sofia at 6 PM on June 17. Judith Michelle Hill, a visiting Fulbright Professor of Computer Graphics from Parsons School of Design in New York, has taught the students this year. Two students from Ireland are also participating in the exhibition.
The exhibition is the culmination of Professor Hill’s semester teaching at the National Academy of Art. Her project objective is to provide the students with basic exposure to computer graphics software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and to visit digital print facilities in Sofia. This is a new direction in the study of textile design in Bulgaria.
The exhibition will run from June 17 to 24 at the American Corner, Sofia City Library – 4A Slaveikov Square. Tel. (02) 980- 66 88, ext. 354.
