First English Language Scrabble® Tournament in Sofia
On April 13, 2009, the American Corner at the Sofia City Library hosted the First English Language Scrabble® Tournament for High School students. Twenty-four students from First English Language High School (ELHS) and 91 German Language High School (GLHS) participated in the tournament based on standard Scrabble® rules.
The tournament was made possible through the efforts of two Bulgarian and American Fulbright Program exchange teachers with the support of the American Embassy and the Bulgarian Fulbright Commission.
