Ambassador Ordway Addresses Topical Issues on Popular bTV Morning Show
Ambassador John Ordway, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Sofia, took part in bTV’s Morning Show “Tazi sutrin” on Friday, October 9th. During the 15-minute live segment, Ambassador Ordway answered questions that covered issues ranging from the new government, corruption, and visas. Discussing corruption as one of the serious problems that Bulgaria is facing, Ambassador Ordway said that there was now “a new sense of energy in this country” and that the solution of this problem requires “hard work, time, and most importantly, public cooperation.” He pledged the U.S.’s support for the new government’s efforts to deal with corruption and organized crime.
