Lady of American Blues, Gospel and Jazz - Vocalist Janice Harrington – and her Trio to Perform Free Concerts at Bansko Jazz Festival, the Plovdiv Amphitheater and Golden Sands

July 31, 2007 The U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria is pleased to announce that the internationally acclaimed singer Janice Harrington will be on tour in Bulgaria with her Trio from August 2 to 8. This dynamic vocalist and her band perform a combination of the most original American music - gospel, blues and jazz. The tour will include free live performances in three Bulgarian towns.
Besides being a vocalist, Ms. Harrington is also a producer and actress. Ms. Harrington worked with such well-known artists as B.B. King, Jack Dupree, Frank Sinatra Jr., Sammy Davis Jr., Buddy Guy and Lionel Hampton. She has also written and produced two albums and nine CDs. Over the years, Ms. Harrington has been the featured guest soloist in many Blues, Jazz and Gospel festivals and concerts. In 2006, Ms. Harrington created a non-profit society organizing workshops and master classes in schools for children and students of all ages.
Critically acclaimed in the international press, Ms. Harrington is described as warm as sunshine. She has the ability to hold an audience spellbound.
During her Bulgarian concert tour, Ms. Harrington will joined by Dylan Vaughn on guitar and bass, Simon Grey on piano and Tommie Harris on drums.
