St. Nicholas Wind Park Opens in Northeastern Bulgaria
October 6, 2009 The Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Sofia Ambassador John Ordway opened Tuesday, October 6th, the largest wind farm in Bulgaria - St. Nicholas Wind Park near the town of Kavarna. The AES-Geo Power investment will commence operation in early 2010 thus doubling the current capacity of wind power generation in Bulgaria.
