Judge J. Clifford Wallace Meets with the Journalists Against Corruption Club
Renowned U.S. Federal Judge John J. Clifford Wallace met Wednesday with the members of the Journalists against Corruption Club in Sofia. The journalists acquainted the Judge with their activities aimed at making the Bulgarian judiciary more transparent and open to the public, and Judge Wallace shared his over 50-year experience with the American judicial system. Judge Wallace praised the journalists for their work, and said that democracy, in order to function effectively, has always relied on “the open, free and uncontrolled media.”
