The Anglo-American School Will Again Award Over BGL 780,000 to Talented Bulgarian Students

The premier international IB school in Bulgaria, the Anglo-American School of Sofia, AAS, again invites academically talented Bulgarian students to apply for full 3 and 4 year scholarships, starting in the 2008-2009 school year. Last year AAS awarded full high school scholarships to six Bulgarian students.

Applications will be accepted until April 25th 2008, following which a short list of the most qualified candidates will take an entrance examination and interview with school officials. Successful applicants will be 14-16 years old, fluent in English, have an outstanding academic record and have a demonstrated financial need.

This initiative is part of the school's commitment to support Bulgaria. AAS has over 13 years experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, supporting needy places throughout the country. The school aims to become a high quality CSR leader in investing in young Bulgarians. AAS strongly believes that now is the right time for dignified companies to invest in talented young Bulgarians as they will be their future employees, determining the success of their business and the development of the country.

The Anglo American School is the premier international school in Bulgaria, offering a vibrant, quality education to students from 35 nationalities at its new purpose built state of the art campus at the base of Mount Vitosha. The school is an IB school and will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in grades eleven and twelve, in the fall of 2008. AAS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. AAS high school graduates will be eligible to enter elite universities world-wide.
